A rainy day does not need saving; it just needs a better plan. The trick is to choose somewhere that gives everyone a reason to look up from their phone.

1. Make the venue the adventure

Look for museums, galleries, libraries and indoor attractions with enough texture that the journey itself feels worthwhile. A good building can be part of the story.

2. Pair one activity with a proper lunch

Give the day a clear middle. One event, one warm meal, one short walk if the rain lifts — that is usually plenty.

3. Keep one easy option in reserve

On the live site, the Cloudflare-powered events service supplies time-sensitive listings near the visitor. Ghost is where we add the human layer: ideas, context and a little editorial taste.
